Mauro Sheridan has new staff and one of the new teachers is Mr. Joe Walsh.
He is the new 7th grade math teacher from Chicago, Illinois. He said “I like teaching, I like working with young adults, but what I like most is when a student makes the sound oh, I get it.”
Mr. Walsh really enjoys his job as a teacher “I don’t like it I love it. What don't I like about math? Even though there are many ways to get one right answer, there are many ways to get that answer." He enjoys helping students explore those different methods.
When asked about the best part of his job, Mr. Walsh replied “My favorite part of my job is the students, and my least favorite part is that I can’t teach on Saturday and Sunday.”
Everyone is inspired by someone from some part of their life; Mr. Walsh is inspired by “My kids at home and my kids at school”. He believes that all the kids that he works with or teaches are his kids, no matter if they are really his or not. He truly loves his job.
Mr. Walsh has a very funny personality. Even though the classes he has aren’t always perfect classes, he always finds a way to make the students happy or laugh.
Mr. Walsh has a lot of jokes. One of them is “How do you fix a broken pumpkin? With a patch”. It was only funny to Mr. Walsh, but to everyone else it was corny.
Mauro Sheridan is glad to have this amazing new staff as a part of their team.
